Whats the difference with hair tint and highlights i dont really know what it does to your hair..hel

Tint is put ONTO the hair, highlights the color is TAKEN from the hair. So consider it dye %26amp; bleach. But tint washes out quickly. Less damaging definately.

Hair tint is a general term for any colour for hair. There are several types of tint, from temporary to permanent. Even eyelash mascara is considered a hair tint. It's just a temporary colourant, right?

Highlighting is a process in which some strands of hair are selected to be lightened to create a sun-kissed look. Since most tints do not contain lightening agents, a bleach is generally applied. If the desired tone is not acheived with the bleach alone, a toner colour (tint) is applied to make the highlights appear less brassy or more golden or whatever the desired look may be.

Since using bleach at home can make for some pretty scary results, always consult a professional before highlighting. An at-home kit is usually a recipe for disaster.
